Home in Macomb Business Retention Program Results
The Macomb County Department of Planning & Economic Development’s “Home in Macomb Business Retention Program” is a targeted initiative to help existing Macomb County businesses thrive and grow. The program serves second-stage companies* with a range of services and programs including access to incentives and financing, assistance with workforce development, general business counseling, and others.
During the first half of the year, HIMBRP clients invested more than $38 million in their businesses while retaining 652 jobs and creating 367 new ones.
County Executive Mark A. Hackel will send a letter to nearly 8,000 targeted businesses later this month. The letter will thank them for their investment in Macomb County and ask them to support the Make Macomb Your Home marketing campaign by displaying a vinyl window cling. Costs to cover the mail to the letter were underwritten by AT&T.
The letter will also provide an overview of available business development services offered by the department. For more information, visit www.MacombBusiness.com.
* A second-stage company is defined as one with 9 or more employees; revenues in excess of $1 million; and a goal to grow.
