Global Tooling Systems locates headquarters in Macomb Township

Macomb Township is the next frontier for an international aerospace manufacturer’s U.S. headquarters.

Global Tooling Systems, LLC, a key supplier of aerospace assembly tools, is building out 42,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space in Macomb Township. This will be their U.S. base of operations.

Michigan Strategic Fund approval of a $450,000 Michigan Business Development Program grant helped convince the company to invest in Macomb Township rather than at a move-in ready facility in South Carolina. The township is supporting the project in the form of a property tax abatement.

The project will create 70 to 80 new jobs with a total capital investment of $3.6 million and will also result in job growth at sister locations throughout Michigan.
