Department partners with Utica on master plan

In partnership with the Macomb County Department of Planning & Economic Development (MCPED), the city of Utica has released for public review what has been the culmination of a yearlong collaborative effort – the 2017 City of Utica Master Plan.

The plan adopts several model land use practices and a number of unique strategies that, if implemented, would catalyze the city of Utica into becoming the pre-eminent destination for businesses, families and people across a diverse spectrum who seek a great quality of life and close-knit community fabric.

This is an exciting step for Utica, one that reflects the positive momentum and developments that are occurring throughout Macomb County. MCPED looks forward to continuing this great relationship with the city through providing our professional planning services and in the implementation of the 2017 Master Plan.
