Construction on schedule for Utica ballpark; sponsorship packages available

Construction on Jimmy John’s Field is well underway in downtown Utica.  The grandstand walls are under construction, and the new playing field is starting to take shape. If all goes as expected, the ballpark will be open in time for the United Shore Professional Baseball League’s inaugural season next summer.

Also under development are amenities designed to appeal to corporate sponsors. Whether a company wants a unique way to entertain clients and prospective customers or to offer a fun outing for employees who deserve special recognition, there are many options and pricing levels from which to choose.

For instance, there will be 18 “Diamond Tables” located along the first and third baselines that will provide ticket holders with the feeling of sitting in the dugout while enjoying the perks of tableside food and beverage service. Jimmy John’s Field will also offer 22 corporate suites throughout the field that offer VIP parking, full food and beverage menu with concierge service, VIP club access, exclusive invitations to batting practices and youth clinics, autographed team memorabilia and more.

“We appreciate the tremendous support we have already received from businesses in the community,” said Andy Appleby, chairman of General Sports Entertainment. “We are looking forward to getting to know more proprietors in the community and creating mutually-beneficial partnerships at Jimmy John’s Field.”

Other available packages include signage, print and online advertising, on-site consumer displays, video board messaging and company outings as well as the opportunity to assign children to be honorary bat boys/girls for select games and to throw out the first pitch or sing the national anthem.

“No matter what your budget is, we can put together a package that will give you a great experience at the ballpark,” said Appleby.
