Corridor and Downtown Development Planning

In our continuous effort to support Macomb County's destinations and economic generators, Planning and Mapping Services, in conjunction with the Economic Development Services Area, provides advisory services to county downtowns and corridors to help implement physical and economic development initiatives.  More Details

Planning and Mapping Services is actively involved with a number of partnerships and initiatives ranging from farm land and open space preservation to natural resources conservation.  More Details

Countywide Trail Way Network

Macomb County is home to a countywide trail way network.  These non-motorized trails provide recreation and fitness opportunities for the county’s residents and visitors. The Macomb Orchard Trail and the Freedom Trail are the two main pathways that connect users to the beautiful parks and downtowns around the region.  Visit macombgov.org/trails or check out our on our Mobilize Macomb Plan for more information on current and future trail systems throughout the county.

 

 

Brownfield Redevelopment Authority 

The purpose of the Brownfield Authority is to promote the revitalization of environmentally distressed areas, either by providing incentives for developers to clean up contaminated or functionally obsolete property, by receiving grants to perform the clean up before a development is involved, or a combination of the two.
